Brownsville Shearling Collar Coat - Sunset River
The Pendleton Brownsville Shearling Collar Coat has been an icon in our collection over the past few winters. The coat is named for the Brownsville Woolen Mill, which was the first mill in the Northwest managed by our founder, Thomas Kay. Made in the Sunset River design in our famous jacquard wool, this jacket keeps you warm all winter long while being a timeless classic.
A Hopi legend tells of a boy who didn’t know his father. His Grandmother told him to ask Sun. The boy crushed shells and threw them into the sky to make the Milky Way, and followed it to Sun’s house. “Who is my father?” he asked. Sun frowned. “You have much to learn.” The boy fell back to Earth. He sailed a cottonwood box to where two rivers join. A rattlesnake joined him and they traveled west to the sunset, where a meteor fell into the sea.
The Gorge Jacket - Papago Park
Our Pendleton Gorge Jacket is our Sante F's brother. Made using blanket weight jacquard wool, made in our famous mils in the Papago Park design, this is our most contemporary style in the collection this winter. With a varsity aesthetic, its one that we love and will be a hit with our Pendleton fans.
Arizona’s Papago Park was once the home of the Maricopa, Pima and Papago tribes. Pima and Papago weavers have produced some of the most beautiful coiled basketry in the Southwest. Using willow, cattail and beargrass, weavers constructed baskets with black designs worked with a crawling desert vine called Devil’s Claw. Baskets were woven to carry food, water and possessions, and used as furniture, as shields and helmets, and to serve wine at the yearly saguaro wine festival.

Our Pendleton Santa Fe Jacket has become a staple of Pendleton's collection season on season. Made using blanket weight jacquard wool, in the Sky Fire design, its vivid colours and warmth make it perfect for winter.
A Wabanaki legend tells of Chief Morning Star, whose son would take his bow and arrows and head north alone. Morning Star followed his son on the Spirit’s Path through the Milky Way to the country of Wa-Ban of the northern lights, where a strange tribe wore lights on their heads and rainbow belts, and tossed around a ball of bright and shifting colors. His son wore the brightest light of all. The Wa-Ban Chief sent Morning Star and his son home on the backs of two great birds. This pattern shows the ball game of the Wa-Ban country, with glowing lights, spirit creatures, and the dancing Northern Lights.
